Charles - My sweetie!

In fact, I was scared of dogs. Because when I'm six years old, I was bit by a dog that is live in my church. 6 years after, My family decided to buy a puppy for my brother. I denied, but my parents cheers me, "You should defeat your fear!". So I had courage. February 2007, I had my first puppy! It was a Shih Tzu. My mom named her 'Sarang(Love)'. It was get on holy bible,

"And now abideth faith, hope, charity(love), these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
- First corinthians 13:13

My may be touched by that words, so the second puppy-I'll explain later-was named 'Mideum(Faith)'. Anyway, I could not touch her fur all day long. Everyone loves her, except me. But she may likes me, so I was frightened, Seriously!

Next morning, I had a dash at challenge. I touched her skin fur! It was warm. At the first time since I was bit! I won my fear, so mom was very proud of me. But, after that happened, Sarang has a stomach ulcer. So we had to let her go. She have met us for just one day(It died couple weeks after...pray for her soul).

We got a new Shih Tzu. His name, before I said, Mideum. By Sarang's help, I could hug him easily, but he also has a health problem. So we should send him again. He has lived in my house for 3 weeks.

Third one! We hoped that we choose much healthier puppy. After careful, we bought a male Maltese, we named him 'Darong(I cannot remember its origin)'. When he comes to my house, we bought him a house. Before it was send to home, we laid down sheets of newspapers and a haven't used blanket. He was too young -2 months old- to teethe. If he bite our finger, it is like tickling! It was so cute! :p But he got older and older, he didn't got rid of it. It really herts… :(

Also, my brother bought a chick by stationery store(Surprise! Korean stationery store sells chicks!...but not now. I miss them). He let a box on living room for it, Darong was curious about another creature. But...it attacked him, and he ran out to my room. THOUGH HE IS MUCH BIGGER THAN CHICK! We laughed and laughed. It was very funny happening, but now he is scared of all animals, except human(and except my grandma. she says to him '개새끼(It's call for puppies, but another means 'son of a b****'. Recently when we goes to grandparents house, she feeds him)'. LOL. And he hates getting a shower! Hey, you aren't a cat!

Until I graduate of middle school, he doesn't like me much. It may because he have seen me every day. After I have being high school student, doing 'dormitory life', he seems to miss me. One day, I came to home, I was surprised. He knew when I comeback, and he brought his toys to the entrance! He swing his tail, likely, "PLAY WITH ME!!!"

Now, he is 8 years old. He likes to sleep all day long, so I tell to him, "Hey, you lazier! You don't wanna play with me, huh? If you don't you'll miss me until Saturday!" then he crawled to me and lie down next to me. :S

Haiku

Last week, our class created haiku, a kind of Japanese poetry. Haiku are characterized by their brevity and emphasis on simple ideas, often evoking nature or time. Although they are not strictly limited to the oft-taught 5-7-5 or 3-5-3 syllable pattern, our students really enjoyed trying to figure out syllable counts for English words, an aspect of the language they'd never before had to consider. By reading our students' haiku, you can tell what inspires them most: daily life, relationships, happiness, and fried chicken. Here are just a few:

Charles-Article summerizing (Marathon in North Korea)

News topic: Marathon in North Korea

Who: 400 foreigner marathoners (including amateurs from 15 different countries)

When: Kim Il Sung's Birthday on April 24th, 2014

Where: Pyongyang

What: Marathon in North Korea

How: Tens of thousands of supporters cheered marathoners.

Why: To commemorate Kim Il Sung's birthday & to share a good experience and new friendships to foreigners

My thought:
Anyway, both North Korea & South Korea are in war (since June 25th, 1950). So it is very hard to visit North Korea as a South Korean. Also, most foreigners have worried North Koreans because of their danger. But that marathon competition says North Korea may open its borders, and it can be to become 'United Korea' soon.

Charles&Yeonho-CSHS Labs

CSHS contains Main wing, Dormitory wing, Gym wing, and Science wing. We'll introduce our science wing. As a science high school, there are a lot of laboratory and scientific instruments.

1st floor: Biology

- Global exhibition stand

There are exhibitions. Korean & global bees, butterflies, beetles, etc.

in biology lab, there are many microscopes. we use it when we have a experiment in biology class. we did some experiments like observing cells, dissecting experiment.

- Microscopes

There are microscopes more than twenty! Also they may connect with computers!!

On 1st floor, there are some exhibitions of insects in corridor. It decorates efficiently biology section.

2nd floor: Chemistry

- Chemical materials' room

Helium gas & Nitrogen gas (left side), the others reagents is in another room.

Chemistry is to study the way to react something. So, this materials' room has many kinds of measuring instruments(It's very much, so a whole room is filled with reagents!). Most of CSHS students, who took Chemistry, can research with that reagents and instruments.

- Element table display

There is the most expensive element table ever! Naturally, there is no radioactive metal :0

Seriously, Element table is almost all of Chemistry. But, almost all chemistry has just letter and elemental number. So, Chemistry teacher who is working our school, wants to build an element table with real elements. In 2013 spring, that table was built. It costs about 10 million won;;

3rd floor: Physics

- Experiment instruments

There are some experiment topics. Balmer series of hydrogen, Luminescence, etc.

Let us show our physics class. We do some experiments. we can measure the quantity of charge of electron, watch Hall effect, measure the velocity of light! I heard that they are bought in Germany(maybe it's right).

 - The workshop

We use this room when we invent something for Korean students' invention contest, or R&E.

This room is on the end of 3rd floor. There are sandpapers, saws, drills, and heat benders. We made a model of solar cooker with woods&panels.

4th floor: Geography & Astronomy & Environment

- Fossils

Naturally, dinosaurs, that are on the shelf, are not real.

On 4th floor, there are some exhibitions of fossils in corridor. It devised fossils following difference of era (Paleozoic era,Mesozoic era,Cenozoic era). We can also find some dinosaur figures. It's cute:)

- Planetarium

This is the most expensive item in CSHS! In past, we watched Solar eclipse with that!

On top of the Science wing, there is small observatory. School Planetarium club usually uses this place, and this club sometimes watched a planet far away like Jupiter, Saturn, and so on. They also observed solar eclipse in 2012. 7.

Well, our school has lots of things more than we showed. There're pretty awesome, right?

Blackout Poetry

Recently, our class created Blackout Poetry, inspired by the work of Austin Kleon. Using old TIME magazines from the school library, we found articles that inspired us and then got to work defacing them in order to create art.

First, look for words and phrases that jump out at you. Then, circle other words, or parts of words, to create meaning out of the rest of the text. Lastly, use a black marker to black out everything else. All that's left is your unique poem!

The poems we created are now on display on the 3rd floor of the main school building. Those who see them are very impressed.

In our English class, we write own journal everyday.

Question. What's your favorite TV show or video games?

Answer.

I don't like much TV. Usually that's very boring, and when I late for a program, I cannot watch anymore. I have a PS3, and I'll introduce my PS3 games.
I like to play Tekken 6 (I'd rather buy Tekken Tag Tournament 2, but I made a mistake;).

Armored Core  for Answer (It's a kind of sci-fi game, in which I control robots to combat)

Gran tourismo 6 (It's racing simulation games),

This is Gran tourismo 4's opening movie. I've played Gran tourismo series since 2003.

When I'm an elementary school student, I played Armored Core 3 & Grantourismo 4.

And ICO (It's very old game, But It is very touching game).

ICO was made in 2001(Wow, that's very old!). This music is played if you clear the game. How touching song!

Also, sometimes, I play PC games (But I don't play online games). I like SPORE (It is a evolution game, I make a cell grow into a creature, and civilization).

Yeah, I play lots of these kinds of games.
